I'd like to share my experiences with you all. Im 30 years old and live in the north-east of England. My stammer has been the biggest challenge of life and always will be, apparently it started when I was very young - too young to remember. My mam told me it started after a bereavement (grandmother), but all I know is my school years were a difficult period, the kids at school used to bully me for my stammer and I always felt isolated from social situations and people. I remember, the anxiety I used to suffer waiting for my turn to read during an english lesson in front of the class but I did it. So, in my early 20's I put myself to the test in the Financial Services Industry as a Financial Adviser, which involves mostly talking with people over the telephone and face-to-face and 8 years on although im not working in the same role I still work in the financial services industry. I would be interested in establishing contact with other people to share experiences and challenges on this forum and even
