I think I know why your are here. If I am right, then you are in the right place!!!
Welcome!!! BTW, if you really want to live your life . . . What is stopping you? Is it the stuttering? If it is, I must ask . . . WHY??? Don't let it stop you. I know I'm preaching to the choir but . . . . We (the stutterer) are our own worst enemy!!!its not so much that i don't live my life,i do,but i could just do so much more
i let it control how i do thing, and what i do to an extent,.........but not who i am

Hi Anthony,
Welcome.
Its difficult for people who stutter to feel good about themselves and do what they want to in life. This forum should help you with all the positive people on here and if you think that everyone of us has been through the same experiences as you but it comes to a point in our lives where we say, sod it, lets do what we want to do and the important thing isnt if we stutter its the knowledge and opinions we have to give, then say it with confidence.
As I have said before, if people have a problem with you stuttering then its them who has the problem and they arent seeing you for what you are.
keep your chin up and dont let this rule your life.

Welcome Anthony,
I'm just one of the voices in the choir. Can you pick me out.
My friend, there are many people in the boat with you and a few of them don't stutter. I say, do what you want, because the only person you have to impress is yourself and the only person you have to answer is yourself for not giving it a try. I beat up a few people for making fun of my stutter, so I though, I'll take up boxing, but in the end, I won half my fights. I must have had a lot of built up anger during those couple of fights. I pushed myself, woke up every morning and spent a few hours an day training. The one thing I learned about myself, is I like to run, but not too crazy with the weights. Stuff like that, will make you see yourself more closely. I like to draw, I have an eye for seeing beauty in anything I look at. Go and learn music, learn to paint, you can try acting, sports, dance, etc.. Once again welcome and looking forward to your comments.
