I had this question in my mind. Why would any non-stutterer join this forum ?? And SLPs are not counted !!!!
I think there was one but she got banned.

leave the things that happened in the past in the past and allow people to enjoy their time here not make them feel like they are in a bullying room

If it comes with the muscles and in all the right places, I won't mind turning green. Supersize me. lol

The muscle are for my ego. I'll turn green in envy to someone who has the power of three. I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy. lol

Ah, yes. I keep on meaning to ask the oldtimers about stayathomemom.
Anybody like to inform those of us who are more recent members what happened there?
Ahhh, i remember that fiasco
i was right in the middle of it all, i dont think we need to talk about it, some really horrible things where said by her...

So Bobby it was all your fault with stayathomemom.
(Only joking)
As cherokeeprinces said, leave what happened in the past. We recently had a non-stutterer on here but I think he got peoples backs up with the way he went about things.

This could be only a co-incidence, but I was E-mailed by "Non-stutterer", who said she was a member here approx 12 months back. She said she had a male friend who was bordering on being suicidal because of his stutter & that was why she was on here for. To try to get some help for him. Well anyway, I wrote back & told her to tell him to try "Exposure Therapy". She said that she would tell him when he was out of one of his fits of depression. She never did get back to me to tell me how they got on.
I wonder if it is the same person, or just a co-incidence? Anyway, do we really need "Non-Stutterers" on this site? I doubt if they would even have the intelligence to understand what we are going on about.

Maybe this person and her friend decided to work it out btween themselves and unintentionally forgot to get back to you to let you know if your advice helped. I wouldn't be too hard on this person because of them not getting back to you on whether your advice or not helped. Sometimes people get busy with things and can not always get back to those who have helped them but that does not mean that they did not appreciate the advice or the help from you. I also wouldn't bash those who do not stutter because you only assume they do not understand what a stutterer goes through. You might be surprised in the fact they may know a lot more than you give credit for.

Hi there.
I hear what you are saying, but you have taken my comments a bit too seriously. It is neither here or there that she got back to me. If the truth was known, I couldn't care less; but it doesn't stop me from wondering. If I really wanted to find out, I could have still got in touch because her E-mail address is in my address book.
All I really wanted to know if it was the same person or a co-incidence?
My long term goal is to get on a speaking circuit & tour N.Z. giving awareness speeches, hence one of my ulterior motives for joining Toastmasters Inc.

I have been reading the posts to get a idea on what people are like and came across what appears to be a number of non stutterers who have caused a bit of trouble. Stayathomemom and DPM, why do these people think they can give us advice when they havent been through what we have. The rest of the people on the forum appear to be OK.
I know that stayathomemom has been banned and I am not surprised by some of her comments and DPM hasnt been on for a long time.
