Dear fellow stutterers,

I just wanted to share my experience and the things I want to do everyday to manage my stuttering.

I just graduated out of college and I am 22 years old, live in belgium.
I don't stutter that bad normally but in the past months with the stress that job interviews bring my problem has aggravated.

In the past I have tried a few things like breathing exercices, reading aloud in front of other people or the mirror, and finally the valsalva mechanism.

Now I am thinking to do a combination of exercices to fix my speaking again.

First, I am aware that i am having more and more blocks over the last few months. Maybe inproper breathing is assisting this. That's why I will practice abdominal breathing again, but inhaling through my mouth (to get more air, and i feel like it's more relaxing to me).

Second, I stutter much more when I am under pressure so exercices like reading in front of the mirror, talking to yourself in the mirror may lessen this anxiety.

Thirth, I don't know if you have it to but sometimes I say a word and I speak it wrong. It feels like my tongue is not doing what I want it to do.
This doesn't happen often like 1 time in a week or so, but is very annoying for me.
Therefore reading with a pen in your mouth may help.

Forth, maybe this one is the hardest and most effective one. DON'T think about stuttering all day.

I just wanted to share my experience and what I think works for me.
Like to hear what you guy's do daily or think about my approach:)
