Alright first of all...talking on the phone with people i know or just girl friends isnt a problem for me exept sometimes when i have to say certain words i switch them around but like calling to make an appointment or just answering the phone randomly i cannot do in any way. Second im taking a communications and philosophy class in college and they both mean a lot of talking involved. In my communications i told the teacher i stuttered so i dont really talk at all in that class and it doesnt affect my grade. But in my philosophy class basically our grade is to talk...so far i havent said one thing and it bothers me soo much because i have so much on my mind but cant express it..in the classroom and that will probably affect my grade. Thirst i just cant be able to talk to random people and meeting them like at my college because i never approach people because of my stuttering because i feel i dont know them and they might like just give me the cold shoulder and not talk to me. Fourth im not a really that much of a outgoing person unless its with people i kno or a girlfriend but i have never been out to a club or just a party i dont know why its either because i dont like them or because of my stuttering but either way it bothers me terribly. responses would be nice =)

I guess everybody here in the forum hates stuttering. Its true that often times we do not feel comfortable while speaking.i want to tell my experience in graduation.everybody in the class has to give a seminar.finally it was my turn.one week before the seminar i spoke to my teacher about my speech problem , she encouraged me to give seminar.i practiced for one week in front of my friends and also alone. But i was very nervous on that day,to my surprise my presentation was very good.i blocked very rarely.everybody appreciated me.i think you should talk to your teacher.most of the times we imagine the situations to be bad .
