I totally avoid telephones if possible, i only answer my mobile because familiar names flash up on the screen like friends or family!! if a private number flashes up i discard it.

However, my job as a postman (mailman etc) does give me problems with flats and apartments where intercom access is the only way in, i usually try to judge when the person on the other end will answer, but my timings usually out and by the time i get my words out they have usually hung up so the circle continues i usually pray that someone will be leaving the buildings just as i'm arriving

On my work experience my boss had a stutter. It was very good because he had his own business, wife, kids the lot. He had to call customers up and was pretty fluent, all he did was (in a very very very relaxed tone) diale the number slowly and he said "Hello is karen there, this is mike from ans computers" it was very niice to watch as i was like :O omg i could do that.

So remember just relax your mouthand do stuff slowly, don't get worked up.

well, what helps me is usally planning ahead what im going to say or speak about before making a call. For me its actually a little worse if I recieve a call because its unexpected.
