Default Any of you play sports?

I'm a new member to the forum and just wanted to say hello to everyone. I'm from Western Mass and havn't met anyone else who stutters besides me. I'm not going to talk about myself cause that can take forever but I was just wondering if any of you guys played sports in HS or college?

I played basketball in HS and i'm now a student in college and playing basketball on the team(it's only D3). When I'm out playing basketball I feel like I can say or do anything I want out there. It puts me in a good feeling and I come out of my shy usual self. You can't imagine the difference I see in myself. I'm usually a quiet person but when I step on that court I'll start talking trash and acting more normal. I'm not sure If I just feel comfterable doing that or what but it's like two different people.

Also I used to be more quiet but now I realize that it doesnt matter. I'm starting to be more open but It's still tough giving presentations and being a Buisness major in college.

Welcome, I also love playing team sports because you are a different person out there. I played Hockey, soccer, football, baseball, slow pitch, curling, volleyball, anything involved with team mates. I am involved in our company team in corporate challanges. I can relate to your feeling when you are playing out there.

well yeah , i play basketball, cycling , swimming, jogging.. i joined the rowing team for a while. I engage in a lively spirit when i play sports and become outgoing n fun ( rather than my quiet n introvet self) ... i guess it's cuz u get less involved with the stuttering thing

Played basketball in 5th grade, and soccer also. Lost interest in sports as I got older! I do jog sometimes. OK- once a week!

I used to do do gymnastics and do all sorts of contortion but I've stopped that years ago and can no longer put a hat on my head with my feet seeing as I'm all rusty, but I can still do the splits both ways up to this day. I played basketball and did Karate for over 7 years, got my 2nd dan (2nd degree) black belt but then my college work got the best of me and just never had the time for it anymore so I stopped going sadly.

I play football/soccer every saturday morning with friends. Needless to say that I'm always the least vocal person on the pitch.

I also have a membership at my local gym which I use around 3 or 4 times every week depending on time.
