Default Old member back

I used to be a member on the old forums. I don't remember what username I used(maybe someone can remind me). I tried the Lexapro and Klonopin combination and it worked so I had no use for stuttering forums any longer. Some people contacted me and wanted me to resurface but I ignored them. Now after about five trips to the mental hospital for serotonin syndrome related psychosis and overdoses I am back.

I'm 24 years old. Diagnosed with lots of stuff but the big ones being schizoid personality disorder and generalized anxiety disorder. I am a student of computer programming and analysis and chemical engineering in Central Florida.

Currently taking:
Adderall XR: 20mg a day
Abilify(aripiprazole): 10mg a day
Valium(diazepam): 5mg twice a day
Inderal(propranolol): 10mg four times a day
Atarax(hydroxyzine): 25mg 2-4 times a day
Sometimes supplement with OTC Yohimbine HCL and/or 400mg Magnesium.

Previously taken:
Geodon, Seroquel, Haldol, Klonopin, Zyprexa, Lexapro, Prozac, Paxil, Ambien, Rozerem, Flexaril.

Thinking about trying:
Buspar, Paxil(for the third time), Effexor, Wellbutrin, Xanax. Some feedback on these particular drugs would be nice.

I know my stuff when it comes to pharmaceuticals in general. If anyone has any questions you can contact me at shizuo@dinocrew.com or californiacurse on AOL Instant Messenger.

Scary as to how many meds. you have/are on-I hope that they continue helping you but I get a bit worried when it comes to giving others advice on meds.as it would be awful to advice someone and make them worse or cause them harm.As long as they didn't just go ahead and purchase something over the internet but asked a Doctor first then I think that is ok.

Thank you.

I quit most of my medications and currently am only taking Adderall 10mg twice a day and Abilify 10mg with my stuttering still under control. Don't know if it's all in my mind or the Abilify is what helps.

Probably affects your mind and that mind is a better speaker.

Shizuo, could you tell me why you are thinking about going on Paxil for the third time?

Paxil was one of the first drugs I took (in combination with something else, which I don't remember except that it was only supposed to have a very minor effect). Anyway, it helped my speech tremendously, but overtime stopped working. I got off it and tried it again a year later, but it didnt' have any effect.

Hi,
I just have to ask, who prescribes u all this stuff? Isnt it way too much just for a stutter?
How is Abilify working for u?
Thanks

Hi! Weclomme Shizou. =} So you say you tried Klonopin+Lexapro? I haven't tried any medications for my stuttering yet, but i have an appointment with my doctor this month, and frankly I'm stuck on deciding what/which medication to try. I take it Klonopin is additive and has bad withdrawal? Maybe I could try Abilify? Once again, I haven't heard of any of these drugs before so please enlighten me as well.

Thats waaay to many drugs to take at once... i would like to ask also, is it a doctor who prescribed u these drugs, or u took them by yourself? are u complaining from any other thing apart from stuttering?

My sister suffers from drug induced manic-depression. Effexor only made her condition worse. She is scraping the bottom of the barrel at this point in her life. From what I can tell, it caused the information flow within her to stagnate.

I'm not sure if that applies to you though, everyone is different.

Hey! I was wondering if you could share things about your schitzophrenia, my dad has that, and I've always wanted to learn more about it, I love my dad to death but he's the only one I know with that, and he doesn't know he has it so I'm really surprised to hear from someone that actually knows they have that.
