Hi Adam, I'm Taylor. I'm a graduate student in speech-language pathology. My history of stuttering has led me here. I began when I was 11, everyone says that's pretty late for a girl to begin stuttering, lucky me. It hasn't gone away, some days are better than others. I deal with each day as it comes and each person as they react to it. It's hard now because I have a teacher in the field who has no faith in me and is repulsed by my stuttering. I think she's trying to drive me out of the program, but I won't let her. I think it's funny that when I talk to her, I'll stutter on purpose just to watch her squirm. I get a kick out of that. Hope to hear from you soon.

Hey guys, its good to meet you both. I'm glad i was able find this site and be able to talk to some people that have the same problem i do, and have the same view on life. I know we all feel that sometimes people ridicule us too much, and its hard to deal with sometimes. You have to remember that the ridicule is not true, that the people ridiculing you only have signs of a weak mind and they feel that they have to ridicule you and others to make themselves feel better. It goes back to the age old saying that "people are afraid of what they dont understand" and because stuttering hasnt had a cure yet, thats why people are afraid of it. My advice to you is to rise above it, dont let anyone bring you down, it reminds me of a line from a song by a punk band called Thrice, and it says "remove the cancer take back your souls" so that means that we all need to remove the cancer that is ridicule and take back all that we know to be true and all we know is right. God loves all of us, he's given us this challenge for a reason, i believe that we can be each others guardian angels, and i know we can bless each others lives. Ive always believed in miracles, and i do believe that there are angels if we only believe that they can be seen. God bless you all and may you stay strong. Look forward to hearing from you soon.
