Hi,
My name is Cristina and I've stuttered as long as I remember. The stuttering worsen once I came in US and I had to change the language. Recently I began reading about all these medications and gadgets and I am wondering if anyone try something like this. I don't believe too much in speech therapy (I used it as a kig and didn't change a thing).
I saw someone from MA ( I live in Framingham)

Hi Cristinae,

Welcome, nice to meet you. Looking forward in reading what you have to share with us. Where is Framingham?

Peace,

Gene

I just started reading the postings: it seems that I have a lot to read in the next weeks
Hope to get to the part where people share what they tried to stop (or reduce) this awful stuttering.

enjoy your read and don't mind some of us like to joke around. The biggest difference for me to reduce my stutter or blocks, is confidence. The only way to gain confidence is taking risks and learning from the risks that don't work. I can walk up to anyone on the street and start talking to them. I will have my blocks, but I enjoy talking to people. I have scared a few, just by started talking. Many, enjoy the conversations, mostly the older generations. Some just leave quickly, i'm sure they have their reasons. enjoy reading and i'm sure you will find something that will work for you.
